Oliver Simon

In 1994, and after returning from New York, where he studied “Dramatic Writing” at New York University, Simon became a founding member of Freex, the first German Script Company for Film and TV. He expanded the company further following the resignation of his business partner in 1997. During this time he was also employed as author (including ZDF and RTL) and he was involved in more than 20 projects as co-author, script editor and script doctor (including, “Vergiss Amerika” and “Engel & Joe”). In 2000, Oliver Simon handed over the management of Freex to Karoline Gallasz, in order to concentrate on the setting up of K5 Film GmbH in 2001. Since 2002, Oliver Simon is a member of the Ateliers du cinéma européen (ACE) and since 2006, member of the German Film Academy.
